Additional Information

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW!!!

Please note: During CHEC's Used Book Sale this year, only CHEC members may sell.

SIGN UP FOR A TABLE IS REQUIRED, PLEASE.

~As in previous years, we encourage you NOT to bring small children.  However, if you must, please make sure they stay with you at all times.

~ONLY academic related items may be sold (e.g. curriculum, education games, reading materials, and all other education materials).  No other items will be allowed.  CHEC reserves the right to have items removed from the sale.

~Sellers must pre-register:  to pre-register, simply sign-up on the website. There is limited space available.

~Sellers will remain at their table throughout the sale.  Shoppers will be able to ask questions of the seller about the items and negotiate price. Transactions will be directly between sellers and buyers, giving sellers the security of knowing that items will be paid for, and allowing them to sell more items by providing shoppers with their "reviews" of the curriculum, as well as having the freedom to drop their price if that would help make the sale.

~DO NOT bring any wheeled device that will/might scratch the church's gym floor - for example, wagons, dollies, roller bags, strollers, etc.

~There will NOT be a "FREE" table available for items you want to give away; you may have a section of your table for this purpose. Please be considerate and take these leftover items home when the sale is over.

~Money will be collected by each individual seller, and sellers may determine individually whether or not they want to accept checks, so shoppers should come prepared with plenty of cash. Nothing will leave a table without having been paid for.

~Since they will be required to stay at their tables during the sale, Sellers will be allowed to pre-shop before the sale opens to the general public.  Sellers will set up at 5:30 pm, shoppers can start shopping at 6 pm.

~Tables will be provided this year.

~Sellers may bring one "helper" student over the age of 10 years to assist at their table.

~Sellers may also share a table with a friend.

~Sellers may mark prices on their materials however they wish: garage-sale stickers with prices, boxes  (i.e. 4/$1.00;  $2.00 each).  Tips for pricing your books:  typically a book that is in excellent condition with no markings can be priced at 2/3 the new price.  Most books are in good condition and are normally priced at 1/3 to 1/2 the new price.

~Sellers should be sure to bring an assortment of small bills and coins for making change. Murphy's Law says the first shopper to your table will want to pay for a $0.75 item with a $20.00 bill.

~Shoppers can attend for FREE, regardless of which support group they have membership with.

**Please note:  If the response is larger than in past years, sellers may need to share a table.**
