Alumni

Why are GCCHSA graduates and retired homeschool parents important?

Our graduates and retired homeschool parents are among our greatest assets. Alumni are advisors, advocates, and allies in support of our mission. The GCCHSA is able to provide opportunities to serve in practical ways. Our goal is to connect homeschool Alumni (and their unique resources, talents, and creativity) within our organization to meet area needs.

Why is Reaching Back so important?

The Scriptures say that to whom much has been given, much is required (Luke 12:48). The homeschool community has many of the best and the brightest. Not only that, but our parents and organization have poured their time, talents, and resources into each of us. It is time for us to stand up and be counted among as vessels The Lord can use to bring Him glory.

How can I volunteer?

The GCCHSA is actively seeking volunteers -- from activity coordinators to prayer partners, the need is great. The first step is to pray about how you can be involved, and then contact us at chairperson@gcchsa.org. Be sure and specifically indicate your areas of interest.

What kind of activities do our Alumni get involved with?

We are interested in any kind of activity or idea that involves service and practical support for our member families and their homeschool children. There is no specific criteria of activity size or type. Each activity is reviewed and approved by our Board of Trustees. Please feel free to offer suggestions.

What have Alumni done in the past?

Over the years, some have served as our Newsletter Editor, Soccer Coaches, and as Instructors for enrichment classes. How can your God-given skill set be a blessing?
