Pioneer Day Festival: A Living History Event 
Savannas Preserve State Park 
Saturday, March 31, 2018
10:00am to 3:00pm

Take a step back in time during the annual Pioneer Day Festival on Saturday, March 31st from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., sponsored by the Friends of Savannas Preserve State Park. Visitors will experience living history as they explore how people in Florida lived circa mid-19th century. The event will feature old-fashioned games and cooking, storytelling, muzzleloading demonstrations, arts and crafts, and more!

Guided hikes and kayak tours will be offered throughout the event. Weather permitting, Savannas Preserve State Park staff will perform a prescribed fire demonstration. Music by the Hot Sauce Boys will be featured, as well as a sing-along activity not to be missed! And don’t forget to grab lunch at Joe’s Dawgs Food Stand!

The Savannas Education Center is located at 2541 SE Walton Road, Port St. Lucie, Florida 34952. Admission to the event is $3.00 per person; cash only. Call (772) 398-2779 or go to www.FriendsofSavannas.org to learn more.
