Statement of Faith
I (we) believe
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, written Word of God and constitutes His completed and final revelation to man. It is the sole authority of faith for the believer and in its original form, is without error. (2Tim 3:15-16, Dt 29:29, 2Peter 1:21, 1Cor 2:13)
God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God’s only Son who came in human flesh and is fully God and fully man yet without sin. (John 1:1-14, Acts 1:8, 2Cor 2:9-11, 1Peter 2:22)
I have sinned and fallen short of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character and are therefore under his wrath and just condemnation. (Rom 3:23)
The central purpose of the coming of Jesus was to demonstrate God’s all holy character that He alone is just and the One who justifies. Jesus Christ alone paid the penalty for man’s sin through His substitutionary death on the cross, the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection. (1Cor 15:3-4)
Salvation is God’s free gift to the sinner. By God’s grace alone, this gift must be responded to by individual faith alone, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone. (Acts 16:31, Rom 10:9, Eph. 2:8)
God expects me to live a life of obedience to Christ in which every area is brought under the lordship of Jesus Christ and in which the fruit of the Holy Spirit becomes increasingly evident in my life. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, my life is noticeably distinct from the life of the world.
