Code of Conduct

All members of our co-op are expected to adhere to the following discipline guidelines during all classes, clubs, field trips, programs, or showcases.

  • Students will represent Christ to others.
  • Students will respect authority which includes teachers and all adults.
  • Students will respect other students of all ages in action, speech, and behavior.
  • Students will not use profanity, offensive language, or display any other inappropriate conduct. This in-cludes wearing unacceptable or immodest clothing.
  • Harassment or bullying between students or between adults will not be tolerated. This include in person, written, or on social media platforms.
  • No weapon of any kind is allowed in the building.
  • All medicine or prescriptions should be in the possession of the parent onsite to be used with supervision.
  • Students will not talk while the teacher, tour guide, presenter, or another student is talking.
  • Students will use indoor voices. No yelling or screaming at any time.
  • No cellphones or electronic devices are allowed during co-op hours unless a teacher requests them.
  • Students will respect the property and leave it better than they found it. For example, not sitting on tables, leaving messes, etc.
  • While at church, students will stay in the designated areas for our group. There is to be no elevator use. There is also no roaming or exploring other areas of the church.
  • Students will not run or throw anything unless in a physical education class.
  • Students will respect others by avoiding displays of affection for others in the group.
  • Students in grades K-9 will participate in our Opening Session, being respectful to any adults who are speaking or offering the devotional thought.

 

DISCIPLINE POLICY:

1. A verbal warning

2. Adult will sit next to or have child change seating position, whichever the situation requires.

3. Removal from their current class until the child can meet with assigned adult or parent.

4. Removal for the remainder of the day. That child, parent, and adult in charge will connect to discuss behavior.

5. Repeated behavior or imminent danger might result in immediate removal from co-op.

 

RIGHT TO REFUSE OR REVOKE MEMBERSHIP

In order to keep harmony in our group and for the protection of all our members, the Leadership Team reserves the right to refuse or revoke memberships based on the following conditions:

  • Continuous violations or blatant disregard to the guidelines of this document
  • Any activity/conversation in direct opposition to the Bible or BRANCH’s Statement of Faith that is deemed a divisive or harmful issue for our families.
  • Any other reason the Leadership Team deems necessary in the best interest of our group.

To refuse or revoke a membership, the Leadership Team will allow the member to address the situa-tion and make amends before action is taken. If things cannot be resolved, a majority vote will be taken by the Leadership Team.
