Senior Graduation Details
Hi Parents of Graduating 12th Graders!
Early during spring term, Leadership will compile the list of graduating 12th graders; that parents have responded wanting their students to be recognized during our Spring Term End Celebration evening; on the last day of spring term.
For our Seniors graduating we allow for a special time of recognition. They, individually are called up to the stage with their family. At that time, a short slide show (see note below) is played in the background while the parents are given the opportunity to tell a bit about their student, offer a diploma (if given), gifts, and prayers. It's a way to send them off on their next journey in life, but not as formal as private or public schools. Cap and gown is not required. Dress attire fit for a graduation celebration is a must!
Details for the slide show: in the past families have put together slides (3-4 looping) of a few pictures showing their child from toddler to young adult. You can use any software, but I believe it should be saved to an mp4 format (but I can ask what other formats may work). We do have a template in PowerPoint that can be used.
If you are wanting this option, the video should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by the first week in May, so that we can get it to the AV person before the celebration night. Save the file with the students first and last name. Please let us know if you have any questions.
What an awesome time for these students! Blessings!
