FCCT Tutor Application

First Class Clackamas Teens (FCCT) is always looking for new tutors. Thank you for your interest in our program for homeschooling teens. We are excited about the possibility of having you join us.

The tutor application is the first step to become a tutor and communicates your interest in tutoring to the FCCT Leadership Team.  Upon completion of this form, you will meet with the tutor coordinator who can answer any questions you may have and review the expectations and responsibilities of a tutor.  Tutors must also agree to the Calvary Chapel SE Statement of Faith (listed below.)

If you and FCCT decide to move forward, you will be required to pass a background check and submit a class proposal.

This process is an agreement between you and FCCT.  The tutor bio and photo will be posted on website. 

If you do not have a student attending FCCT, you will get a free FCCT Tutor/Member account on our website. This will allow you to communicate with your students and their parents, as well as maintain accounting records.

FCCT & Tutor Agreement

First Class Clackamas Teens agrees to:

  1. Provide a safe physical space for instruction.
  2. Be an introduction to students and families who are part of FCCT.
  3. Provide additional adult monitoring in the environment.
  4. Provide administrative support to you, as the instructor.

Tutor agrees to:
If my class is approved, then I understand, accept, and agree to the following:

  1. To allow CCSE/FCCT to run a background check.
  2. To sign up for a secure online account at firstclassclackamasteens.org.
  3. To commit myself to the position of Tutor for the First Class Clackamas Teens program
  4. To NOT teach anything that would be in conflict with our statement of faith (see below)
  5. To submit a syllabus to Leadership Team and hand out to students on the first day of class
  6. To complete the term(s) you have agreed to teach (core classes could be two terms)
  7. To communicate your tuition payment requirements clearly to parents
  8. To communicate your availability to students and their parents
  9. To give a percentage grade to the student at the end of the term for core classes
  10. To attend FCCT Tutor meetings
  11. If unable to teach on a particular date, I will  notify a member of the FCCT Leadership Team as soon as possible about finding a substitute.

Tutor Statement of Faith

I.    The Word of God: The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)
II.    The Trinity: Within the one Being that is God, there has existed from all eternity three coequal Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 1:1-2, 14)
III.    Salvation: All men are in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and act. (Romans 3:23 and 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-2) Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to by faith, not by any personal works, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone. (Acts 13:38-39; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)

Each tutor at FCCT invests their time in the unique and exciting opportunity to help shape young lives. We ask that those who take a position of leadership (such as tutoring) read and agree to the above basic doctrinal beliefs of the Christian faith. The Leadership Team of First Class Clackamas Teens will review and approve all classes offered for the fall and spring terms.
