Statement of Faith

HEARTS Homeschool Co-op Statement of Faith

Affiliated with First Baptist Church Biloxi

We, the members and leaders of HEARTS Homeschool Co-op, affirm the following core beliefs as foundational to our community and educational mission. These beliefs guide our teaching, relationships, and conduct as we support families in providing Christ-centered education at home.

  1. The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith and life.?(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

  1. God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.?(Matthew 28:19; Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

  1. Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death through His shed blood, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.?(John 1:1-14; Colossians 1:15-20; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

  1. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells believers, enabling them to live godly lives, and empowers them for service and spiritual growth.?(Romans 8:11; Galatians 5:22-23; Acts 1:8)

  1. Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but is a gift from God, received through repentance and trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord.?(Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; John 14:6)

  1. Creation

We believe that God created the heavens and the earth and that human beings are uniquely created in His image, male and female, to glorify Him.?(Genesis 1:1, 26-28; Psalm 139:13-16)

  1. Marriage and Family

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and that the family is God's ordained foundation for raising and educating children.?(Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:22-33)

  1. The Church

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and that the local church is the body of Christ, called to worship, discipleship, fellowship, and outreach.?(Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Acts 2:42)

  1. Christian Living

We believe Christians are called to live in a manner that reflects Christ, exhibiting love, grace, humility, and holiness. Our educational approach and conduct will reflect these values.?(Colossians 3:12-17; Romans 12:1-2; Galatians 5:22-23)
