About HEARTS
Hearts is a 30-week program offering a variety of classes for kids of all ages. We meet on Mondays, starting with worship at 8:30 and ending at 3:30. You don’t have to come all day. You can pick and choose based on what works best for your family. We offer core classes, such as science with labs, as well as fun classes. Classes are based on what parents are willing to teach, and sometimes it is hard to make a full curriculum, so you will have to do some subjects at home. The class schedule for this year is on our website. You can click on the picture of post it notes and it should pull it up.
We offer the option to assist for first-year families, or you can drop off children in 4th grade and up. To drop off, we charge $200 per class, a $200 registration fee, per-class supply fees (listed for each class), and a $15 website fee. Assistants pay $50 per class, a $50 registration fee, supply fees, and the $15 website fee. We ask that a payment be made at registration to reserve your child’s spot and then that the balance be paid in full by the first day of Hearts, which is August 3rd. That is the total for the entire 30 weeks of Hearts.
We do some field trips as a group, and we also try to do a Mom’s Night Out once a month. Usually, that will be a meeting at a restaurant or a potluck at the church. We’ve done a Bunco night, and next year we want to do a Mahjong night. We also host Open Mic Nights for students. We have a Barista class that sells coffee on those nights. This is a family event. We plan on doing two of those next year!
