Tom Nielsen To All Instructors
Tom Nielsen is a mild-mannered heating and air conditioning mechanic by day. By night, he is into fossil hunting, sparkly rocks, pottery, blowing up fruits and veggies with black powder cannons, launching fruits and veggies with catapults, making primitive weapons, and slicing fruits and vegetables with aforementioned primitive weapons (seriously, he has some weird thing about produce. Who knows?).
He hasn't always been into air conditioning. His long and varied occupational history includes veterinary technician, animal control officer, wildlife removal specialist, and lab animal caretaker. He also deployed to Afghanistan for nine months with the Navy to sell scrap metal.
He has taught clay sculpting classes to adults and children, spends much of his free time reading or listening to podcasts on history and science, and loves talking about those subjects with anyone who will listen. He is good with all skill levels and abilities and is very excited to work with and learn with your kids!
