Types of Courses

Live Courses

Our original offering. This option is available for every course we offer  -  Algebra 1A, Algebra 1B, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2/Trig. Each course contains:

  • Two live meetings per week (on Mondays and Wednesdays)

  • Assignments to be completed and turned in on each of the other weekdays (Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday)

    • Students check their own work allowing for immediate knowledge of understanding

  • A graded assessment at the end of each chapter

  • 2 term assessments; a mid-term and final

  • A grade for the course based on participation, chapter assessments, and term assessments






Asynchronous Courses

This option is only available for our Algebra 1A, Algebra 1B, Algebra 1, and Geometry courses. Each course includes:

  • Lessons assigned to be completed and turned in each week. Each lesson consists of:

    • Videos to guide your student through learning the new ideas

    • Interactive, self-checking problems to ensure understanding as they progress through the lesson

    • Work assigned from the textbook

      • Students check their own work allowing for immediate knowledge of understanding

  • A graded assessment at the end of each chapter and two term assessments, a mid-term and final

  • Office hours available each week, where the student can meet with an instructor over Zoom for help as needed.

  • A grade for the course based on participation, chapter assessments, and term assessments






Self-Paced Courses

This option is only available for Algebra 1 and Geometry. Each course includes:

  • Lessons to be completed at the student’s own pace. Each lesson consists of:

    • Videos to guide your student through learning the new ideas

    • Interactive, self-checking problems to ensure understanding as they progress through the lesson

    • Work assigned from the textbook

      • Students check their own work allowing for immediate knowledge of understanding

  • An assessment to be completed at the end of each chapter, including 2 term assessments, to be graded by the parent

  • Help from the instructors via a message board in Canvas Classroom
