Catherine Heckel To All Instructors

Catherine Heckel is an English and Science enthusiast who resides on a mini farm with her husband, four children, copious amounts of chickens, rabbits, and various gardens. She enjoys teaching others about native plants & critters, homesteading techniques, food preservation and small-animal care. She has been a homeschool parent for ten years, and her favorite classes involve anything that can be hands-on and preferably outside!

Mrs. Heckel earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and information technology from the University of Toledo. But her passions lie in tutoring and curriculum development. She has created classes for preschool Spanish implementation all the way up to adult GED classes within a rehabilitation center for nonviolent felons. She loves the challenge of making learning fun, at any age.
