The thought of homeschooling high school can be intimidating. In this first in a series of three workshops we will focus on the following topics:
  • Getting ready for high school - the middle school years
  • High school planning - How many credits are required? What should my student take when?
  • High school at home options - DVDs, computer-based, textbooks, packaged curricula, free online resources
  • Outsourcing classes - online, local, correspondence schools
  • Driver's education - Can I teach my student to drive? What is the process?
  • Scheduling and motivating the high school student
This workshop is especially beneficial to homeschoolers with students in 6th grade or above but everyone is welcome. Detailed handouts will be available to those that have signed up to attend.

Cheryl Bolt is in her 18th year of homeschooling. She has graduated two sons that are now attending college and son number three is in 10th grade. Cheryl is the President of the HOPE homeschool support group and teaches at CHESS and Ad Fontes Academy. Expect to get every question answered!
