Geography Bee

The Prince William County Homeschool Geography Bee, sponsored by H.O.P.E., will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016, at the Bull Run Regional Library in Manassas, from 1 to 3 pm. This is a National Geographic School Bee for students in grades four through eight. This exciting and challenging competition consists of a preliminary, final, and championship round where our winner will be awarded a medal and an opportunity to advance to the State Bee. Our school champion will take a qualifying test and as many as 100 of the highest-scoring students in the state of Virginia will be invited to participate in the State Bee.  

Students must be in grades four through eight and must not have reached their 15th birthday on or before September 1, 2015.  A student can participate in the Bee for no more than five years total. 

We must have a minimum of six students registered to hold the Bee so please sign up early so we know the minimum is met. A student cannot be enrolled in more than three academic courses at the high school level.

Inclement Weather Policy:  Check the HOPE website for information on the day of the Bee.  If the Bull Run Library is open, the Bee will take place.
