Homeschool Support Meeting

Beth Sterne is returning to speak again about procrastination. Her talk last yar was very well received and those in attendance requested she return to share more on the subject. Last spring, Beth talked with us about the fire of procrastination that prevents godly fruit. This time she will speak on “Dousing the Fire” - practical strategies we can use to move ourselves out of that harmful habit. (How can I learn to be ready on time? Why am I frustrated by setting goals? How can I accomplish my priorities? Etc.) There will also be ideas to use as moms parenting procrastinators. This talk is more interactive. We will have guided and free discussion. This will be an enjoyable way to grapple with an aggravating issue.
We request that you sign up if you plan on attending the meeting so our speaker knows about how many people to expect. Signing up is not a commitment to attend but says you are interested in attending.
Children are welcome but childcare is not provided. Please bring a quiet activity to occupy them.
Speaker Biography: Beth Sterne
By the transforming power of Christ, Beth Sterne is moving out of the habit of procrastination and its ill effects. As a recovering procrastinator, she shares what she’s learning with Christian sisters so we can also walk in His peace and purpose.
Beth and her husband have been married 40 years. During her husband’s Air Force career they moved 16 times living in 10 states and 3 other countries. They homeschooled their two children 18 years – kindergarten through high school.
She has a degree in speech and drama and enjoys coaching students for competition – or just for mom’s assignments. You can check out her blog at www.putoffprocrastination.com.
