PW County Homeschool Spelling Bee
Calling all spellers! The HOPE Spelling Bee is coming in February!
Register to showcase your spelling and presentation skills in this oral spelling bee. The winner will advance to the PWC regional spelling bee to be held on March 9th in Woodbridge. Because of this, only residents of Prince William County can participate. If you would like to participate but live in Fairfax County, please contact FISHE for possible bee information.
Below are a few guidelines. For a full set of eligibility rules please visit http://spellingbee.com/eligibility.
The speller must not have reached his/her 15th birthday on or before August 31, 2017 nor have passed beyond the eighth grade on or before February 1, 2018. There is no minimum age requirement, however ALL spellers will compete in one group. There are no specific grade level rounds.
Registration Deadline is Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
Attached is the 2018 School Spelling Bee Study List. Download it and use it to study and practice before the bee!
Parents, we want this to be a positive experience. We are excited to present this opportunity for our students to challenge themselves!

When signing up, enter your own name (parent’s name) on the first screen (“Step 1 of 3”).
Also, on that same screen where it says “Number Attending,” enter the number of spellers from your family who will be participating.
Then, on the “Step 2 of 3” screen, enter the names of your child(ren) who will be participating.
