What is Family Center?
The Family Center is a Thursday morning co-op that exists to connect homeschool families once a week for participation in electives and group academics. We are available to all Christian Homeschool Connection (CHC) members at two times during the year to join. The Family Center provides opportunities for fellowship and encouragement as well as academic and spiritual growth. The Family Center provides a place where you and other CHC members can share gifts and passions with other CHC families in a safe and structured environment.
Classes can include Nursery – High School and will meet for two 12 week semesters, one in the fall and one in the spring. Classes can be structured for 12 weeks or 24 weeks according to the choice of each teaching team.
Family Center Faith Statement:
To participate in the Family Center all participants must believe and attempt to live out these beliefs:
- We believe Jesus is the Son of God - through Him salvation and reconciliation with God is possible.
- We will genuinely and authentically follow the teachings of the Bible; especially to love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our mind, all our soul, and all our strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
- Doctrinal differences may exist, but mutual support and affirmation of our common faith in Jesus Christ should testify to our love for each other as Disciples of Christ.
To join Family Center (the Thursday morning co-op), families must first be members of Christian Homeschool Connection (CHC). A CHC login is needed to access the member-only portion of the CHC website where the Family Center membership form is located. To join CHC, click here.
