2020 Covid-19 Policy
The CHC Board and coordinators want everyone to feel comfortable and safe at every event we host. Our goal for CHC is to create a community of homeschoolers who, in humility, consider others as well as themselves during this unique time. While not the way we would have chosen things to be, we can all make the best of it by showing each other much grace and love.
Our insurance agent has instructed us to put a COVID-19 policy in place and share it with our membership. We are praying that everyone stays healthy and has a great school year!
CHC has put in place the following COVID-19 guidelines for the remainder of 2020. We ask that your family respect and follow these guidelines to ensure the safety of each member in our community.
Masks will not be required outdoors where we are able to socially distance. Masks will be required for indoor activities or when 6 feet of space between individuals is not possible. We encourage all members over the age of 2, and who are medically able to wear a mask, to bring his or her own mask to each CHC event you participate in. If you are unable to wear a mask for medical or personal reasons, we ask that you adhere to the 6ft social distance guidelines at all times.
At this time, we have no plans to meet indoors for the remainder of 2020. If an indoor field trip is scheduled by a CHC member, we ask that you follow the above mask guidelines for that trip. If you are not able to respect those guidelines for personal reasons, we ask that you not sign up for that field trip.
If any member of your immediate family is exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough, head congestion, loss of taste/smell, fatigue, aches, sore throat, shortness of breath, vomiting or diarrhea we ask that your entire family stay home from that event. You must be fever free without fever reducing medication for at least 24 hours before attending a CHC event.
If you or any member of your immediate family is confirmed to have COVID-19, he or she may not attend a CHC event until he or she has quarantined for 14 days.
Because COVID-19 can be present and asymptomatic for up to 14 days, families may not participate in a CHC event if anyone in their immediate family has been exposed to someone confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
