PACHEK Co-op

PACHEK offers a great opportunity to learn and engage with each other in a classroom setting! Every semester, we have an 8-week co-op: generally Sept/Oct in the fall and Feb/Mar in the spring.   Approximately 3 months before co-op begins, pre-registration will open.  This closes once we need to have all of our teachers assigned for the semester.  A few weeks before each co-op term begins, all of that semester's classes will be posted on Co-op --> Class Registration.  Registration will open shortly after that.  (As we grow, we cannot guarantee that there will be space for every family every semester, but we will do our best to accomodate everyone possible.) Members who have never participated in CO-OP must attend a CO-OP orientation before being allowed to register.

Co-op classes meet once a week. There are 3 different class hours, with each age level (Early Elementary & up) having 3-4 class choices each hour.  We begin our day with announcements as a group and then dismiss by class to our first hour classes. The students then rotate thru their three assigned classes, each lasting 55 minutes. Classes are a mix of both fun and educational. We offer classes such as science, writing, cooking, crafting, music, math, physical education classes, and MUCH more!  Each semester’s class list is different, due to teachers choices.

Every student is signed in at the beginning of the day and attendance is taken in every class, every hour.  Students are then signed out by their parents at the end of the day.

Our co-op is led by a committee made up of our volunteer parents and works only because all of our parents cooperate together.  Each family is required to have a parent on site for the entirety of the co-op day.  Parents can volunteer to teach classes or will be assigned classes to assist in 2 out of the 3 class hours.  The 3rd hour can be your free hour to mingle with the other adults, IF we don’t have a need for substitute helpers that hour.
