About Service Requirements

Parents of students taking classes are required to volunteer during the school year.  BACH needs parents to monitor the great room/common area, traffic monitor for student safety, and needs help setting up and breaking down/cleaning rooms.  For all students registered for any class/classes on the FBC campus, parents are required to earn 8 service credits during the school year.  A variety if service jobs are available each with varying credti values. If parents are unable to do this, there is the option of paying another parent $$$ per volunteer slot.

New this year: Failure to show up for an assigned slot without communicating with a board member or volunteer coordinator will result in your account being billed $60 for each slot (i.e. set up would be $120 and break down would be $180).  BACH must have reliable volunteers, or we cannot run.  If you have an emergency, sick child, broken vehicle, etc., communicate that information to  Michelle Pechacek (210-771-4390) or Yessi Smith (305-725-0452) ASAP and we will find someone to take your slot by either swapping times or you can pay the person.  A no-show with no communication will result in a fee on your account. Communication is key!
