Practical & Vocational Skills
Does your student love to craft and create? Is he or she seeking a path to the workforce? Could your student use specific and fun instruction in life skills? Bridge the Gap Learning Center offers classes specifically to build creative, practical, vocational, and life skills.
- Through use of our Makerspace resource room, students have the opportunity to build fine motor skills and learn practical arts like sewing, crocheting, metalwork, or woodwork.
- In our Kitchen classroom, we offer classes in basic culinary and SafeServ practices as well as fun classes like “Cooking Around the World.”
- Through a partnership with TCI Works, Inc., qualified students can gather weekly, tuition-free, to build employability skills and connect with job opportunities.
- High School vocational classes prepare students for future enrollment in Career Trade Education programs in the NC Community College system.
