Reading and Math Interventions Q&A

We are here to help! Interventions at Bridge the Gap Learning Center are designed for those who learn differently. We provide one-on-one and small group sessions using evidence-based methods to address learning challenges such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and executive functioning deficits. These sessions are taught by degreed professionals who specialize in helping students achieve. Our tailored approach ensures students build confidence and skills.

Q: Who is this for?

A: Interventions at Bridge the Gap Learning Center are designed for students with learning gaps, learning differences or learning disabilities in reading or math.

 

Q: How many are in a class?

A: Just one! This is one-on-one intervention tailored specifically for your child. 

 

Q: Who teaches the session?

A: Your child is assigned a degreed, trained professional who will meet with them for every session.

Q: How long is a session?

A: Each session is one hour PLUS 30 minutes in MindWorks!

 

Q: How much does a session cost?

A: Each one hour session is $45, MindWorks is included at no additional cost

 

Q: How often does my child need to come?

A: Two times per week minimum to make steady progress.

 

Q: So two sessions per week? That’s $90 per week. How do payments work?

A: We spread the total payments for the year into equal monthly payments. 2 sessions per week would be $330 per month

 

Q: How long is a “year?”

A: We meet September-May, for a total of 33 weeks.

 

Q: Do you offer any discounts?

A: Yes! We offer discounts based on disability and financial need. Most of our students will receive some kind of discount. 

 

Q: I don’t know if my child has a disability. Can you help me figure that out?

A: Yes. We can help with screening, testing, and referrals to appropriate professionals.

 

Q: How do I get my child registered?

A: Request an appointment. We will meet to go over your concerns and to conduct screenings. Please bring documentation of previous testing, diagnosis, and work samples. Contact Admin@BridgeTheGapLearningCenter.org to set up an appointment.
