Makerspace

Description:
The Makerspace Class gives students hands-on opportunities to explore creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills in a collaborative environment. Each week, 3–4 activity stations will be available, allowing students to choose between quick projects or ongoing creations they can develop over time.
Students will experiment with a variety of crafts, tools, and techniques while discovering new interests and building confidence in their abilities. This class encourages curiosity, innovation, and independent exploration as students learn how to use makerspace resources and explore the many possibilities they offer.
Some of the projects covered in this session will be yarn pom-poms, pot holder weaving, jewelry making, engraving, and paper pennants.
This class will meet 6 times between March 18-April 30. The class will not meet on April 9 due to Easter Break.
Club Focus:
- Planning: Employ decision-making and time management in multi-step projects
- Precision: Develop fine motor skills that will transfer to handwriting and other detailed work
- Patience: Learn the skills of focus and steadiness
- Practical: Master skills that have real-life application
- Perseverance: Build determination and dedication to finish a project over multiple weeks
Tuition:
Tuition = $60, Supply Fee= $15
Total Tuition + Supply Fee = $75, due at registration
