Sewing 101

Instructor: Renee Holloman

Discover the joy of creating with fabric in this hands-on beginner class designed for anyone new to sewing or embroidery. You’ll learn the essentials of both machine sewing and hand stitching, along with the basics of hand embroidery techniques to add personal touches to your projects.

Our first project will be a set of custom pillowcases, where you’ll practice measuring, cutting, sewing straight seams, and adding decorative details. As your skills grow, we’ll introduce additional projects to build confidence and creativity—helping you move from simple foundations to more advanced techniques at your own pace.

By the end of this class, you’ll not only have practical sewing and embroidery skills but also handmade items you can enjoy or gift with pride. All are welcome—no prior experience needed!

Second month's payment of $40 is due Feb 1
