ECCHO Upper Classes

Registration for 2024-2025 is closed. Class offerings can be found on the Class Registration page.

Upper Classes are for families seeking a structured learning environment in a group setting. This is a drop-off program, with mandatory parental service assignments, that meets weekly on Fridays in The Village at Longbranch Community Baptist Church in Midlothian for the full school year, September through May (approximately 28 class days). Offered classes vary, ranging from electives to academic to sports.

To enroll in this program your family must be in good standing with ECCHO, be up-to-date on all fees, have a current background check on file, and have submitted a new class registration packet for the year. The UC Program requires a $30 per student registration fee per semester, with a $120 per family max (if your family has more than 4 students involved in our 6th-12th grade classes, you will not pay more than $120). Additionally, each class will have a semester supply fee and a monthly fee that will be determined by and paid directly to the class instructor. Please see the UC Fee Guidelines to read about late and drop fees.

Jr High is for students in 6th, 7th or 8th grade who are at least 11 years old on or before September 1st.
High School is for students in the 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade who are at least 13 years old before September 1st.
[Note: We realize that as homeschoolers, it is difficult to pinpoint a "grade" for your child, and in the past 8th grade has been a gray area. Please use your best judgement, taking into consideration maturity, academic abilities, and interaction with peers, when it comes to deciding if your 13 year old belongs in 8th or 9th grade classes. You must have your children's age/grade updated in your website profile or it could hinder your ability to register them for classes.]

Fridays include a 25-minute lunch and a 25-minute homeroom for announcements and devotional time. If your student is on campus between 12pm and 1pm, they must be signed up for and attend with their appropriate group.  We encourage all students to take part in this, as it's a wonderful way to bond with fellow students, as well as grow deeper in their walk with Christ and community. Please consider arranging your schedule to include lunch and homeroom!

Each UC family must participate in service assignment slots throughout the semester. In true co-op fashion, this helps to keep our fees low and provides an opportunity to make sure our students have the best learning environment possible. Service assignments may include classroom helpers, homeroom or lunchroom monitors, etc. Families involved in UC agree to and should expect to serve 3-6 hours per semester.

All Upper Classmen are expected to honor, respect and obey the ECCHO Statement of Faith, Code of Conduct, Dress Code, and Class Guidelines.
