Curriculum: Beautiful Feet American History Textbook: ISBN#:

Let’s explore together the adventures of the Vikings in 1000 A.D. and progress all the way to the Civil War. We’ll take a comprehensive view of early American history. Early American History through the Beautiful Feet Collection incorporates biblical principles, geography, map-making, poetry and reading the fine literature of such greats as Esther Forbes, Carl Sandburg, Elizabeth Yates and Elizabeth Janeway. Students will also enjoy constructing the American History Time Line which will reinforce the important events and individuals in our remarkable history.

Each day we are together the children will be hearing a wonderful story and their hands will be busy with some wonderful crafts. Learning through literature has lasting blessings. In addition we hope to make 2 special period field trips. We will be singing The Preamble at Open House and displaying their work proudly.

Get ready to learn a bunch and have fun doing it

Each child will need a composition notebook, writing pencils, a pencil sharpener, and a set of artist quality colored pencils (i.e. Prismacolor). In addition you will need the Beautiful Feet American History Time Line ($10 plus tax and shipping)

Parents must be willing to rotate assisting in class ~ helping with the class crafts and clean ups. This is mandatory. These kids love doing our crafts but do need help with making them.
