Just passing along this information. If you have any questions please contact them.

Hi,I am Angela Groppel, and I am part of the Clarksville Homeschool Teen Group. We are sponsoring a "prom" for homeschoolers in April, and we would like to invite high schoolers in your group. All the info is listed below. As far as tickets, if someone in your group would like to take names/money, I could meet them with the tickets before the sales are over. Just let me know if anyone is nterested. Please feel free to copy and paste the info below and share with your group.

It’s time to put on your dancing shoes… a pretty dress or a tie, perhaps a tux, if you’d like… The Clarksville Homeschool Teen Group is putting on their third annual semi-formal dance/prom. This year we’ll using the theme“Moonlight Masquerade”. You do not need to be a member of our group to come to the prom!
What do we mean by Semi-Formal? To sum it up in two words: NO JEANS. Girls should wear modest dresses (prom or party style) and guys should at a minimum wear slacks, button down shirts and ties. (A tux and/or suit is fine, but not required). What do we mean by "modest dresses"? We will leave this up to the parents. Let's put it this way... We don't know how to define an "immodest dress" but we know it when we see it... we know you do too. As far as the “Masquerade” aspect, that is only our theme regarding our decorations. You are not required to wear a mask, but may if you like. If you choose to, think Venetian mask, NOT Halloween, please. Anyone wearing inappropriate masks will be asked to remove them.

The prom will be on Saturday, April 28h from 6pm-10pm at The Lighthouse Café on 808 So. Riverside Dr. We will have the upper level. There is also a pay’n’play pool room for when you’re just danced out. The prom is open to 9th-12th grade homeschoolers (normally, we allow younger teens but this is event is just for the high schoolers). Each homeschooler purchasing a ticket is welcome to buy an additional ticket for one guest/date. The guest/date must also be in 9th-12th grade (no older than 18), but does not have to be a homeschooler. You are NOT required to have a date; plenty of
people will come with their friends.

Portrait packages will cost $8 (2 5x7s, 2 3.5x5s, 4 wallets) or $15 (2
8x10s, 2 5x7s, 8 wallets). Add-on sheets will be an additional $5. You will pay this to the photographer at the dance.

Tickets are $12. CASH ONLY, no checks will be accepted, under any
circumstance. The Teen group does not have a checking account! Sorry, but there can be NO REFUNDS. Tickets include admission only and WILL NOT be available at the door. Remember to bring your ticket with you, it’s you entry in. The Lighthouse Café will be open if you want a full meal or just a snack.
Tickets sales will begin Saturday March 17 and continue until Saturday
April 14. After April 14, the price will increase to $20. Tickets will be available from prom committee members at the times and locations listed below and at all Clarksvillle Homeschool Teens events:
Wendy McClendon - Mondays 2-3 pm at Mag’s Coffee Shop on Riverside Dr.
(except for 3/26, that day ticket will be available during the teen bowling at the Pinnacle).

Those purchasing tickets will get to help select the music! On your

Alcohol, tobacco, foul/crude language and dirty dancing are not permitted.
If you leave the building the prom is held in, you will not be allowed to re-enter. Balloons will mark the appropriate entrance. Please feel free to pass this on to other homeschoolers; we just ask you to pass on the entire message, and not just bits & pieces! For questions about the prom, contact one of people listed below. See you there!
