Commitment & Attendance Policy
Being part of Discovery Days means committing to the group as a whole. Each family’s presence matters—not only for their own children, but for every class and activity. By consistently showing up and arriving on time, we help our co-op run smoothly and ensure that every student benefits from a full and rich experience.
- Yearly Commitment
- Enrollment is for the full school year, comprised of 16 meetings.
- Our community depends on each family’s consistent involvement.
- Attendance & Punctuality
- Regular attendance and on-time arrival are essential for classes to run smoothly.
- When one parent is late, absent, or withdraws, the burden falls on others and directly impacts the children.
- Please plan vacations and appointments around co-op days. We have provided all meeting dates for you so that you can schedule accordingly.
- All students are expected to be in class each session, including nursery and preschoolers. Students must be signed out with hall monitor if they are not attending class.
- Absences
- Notify Lerin Berwick if you will be absent.
- Three or more unexcused absences may result in loss of your family’s spot in co-op.
- Unexcused absences include vacations or non-emergency appointments.
- Excused absences include sickness or family emergencies.
