About ECCHO Reads Book Clubs
Registration Required - details coming soon!
ECCHO's Tween and Teen Book Clubs are designed to foster a love of reading, build friendships, and encourage thoughtful discussion in a fun, welcoming environment. Both groups will meet at the same time and location, with each age group gathering at opposite ends of the room for age-appropriate conversations.
Meeting Information
Day/Time: 2nd Friday - 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Location: TBD
Ages: Tween Club - 10-12 Teen Club - 13-18
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we will need at least two parent volunteers at each meeting to assist with supervision, setup, and cleanup.
How It Works
Students will read one assigned book each month before the next club meeting. Our gatherings are centered around discussing the story, sharing favorite moments, exploring characters, and talking through themes and ideas. Every student is encouraged to participate, and all perspectives are welcome! Discussion questions will be provided to help guide meaningful and engaging conversations.
The first book of the year will be pre-selected. After that, students will have the opportunity to vote on whether to continue with the series or select from a list of other carefully chosen titles and authors.
Year at a Glance
Semester 1: 4 books
Semester 2: 3 books
December: Shortened book discussion followed by a fun celebration.
April: No book club meeting due to varying Easter schedules.
May: End-of-year party and fellowship—no assigned book, just a time to celebrate a wonderful year together!
Each family will be responsible for purchasing the monthly book and ensuring it is read before the next meeting date.
Our goal is simple: to create a place where students can unplug, connect with friends, discover great stories, and develop a lifelong love of reading.
