ECCHO Co-op Classes

ECCHO offers two co-op class options for those who want to participate --
Enrichment Classes (EC) and Upper Classes (UC)

Being part of a co-op means everyone brings their strengths and skills to be put to use for the benefit of the group. All families are expected to be on campus and helping in some way. Many parents choose to teach classes, but that's not the only way to participate. Other opportunities include class helper, hallway monitor, campus monitor, and/or being part of special teams such as set-up/take-down crew or check in/out table leads.

To participate in any of these ECCHO Classes you must:
-Be an ECCHO member in good standing.
-Agree to participate weekly.
-Register for classes during the open registration period.

Enrichment Classes or EC are for Grades K-5th (ages 0-11). These classes meet weekly on Mondays in Midlothian. Enrichment Classes have a family registration fee per semester, along with a one-time semester supply fee for each class determined by the teacher. For additional information on Enrichment Classes click here, or contact one of our co-directors.

Upper Classes or UC are for Grades 6th-12th (ages 11-18). These classes meet weekly on Mondays in Midlothian. Upper Classes have a registration fee per student per semester, class supply fees, along with monthly class fees determined by each teacher. For more information on ECCHO Upper Classes click here, or contact one of our co-directors.

Class Schedule

What does it mean to be part of a co-op?

Being part of a Homeschool Co-Op means everyone brings their skills and talents together to be used for the benefit and education of our children. Many parents choose to teach classes, but that's not the only way to participate. Other opportunities include class helper, hallway monitor, campus monitor, and/or being part of special teams such as set-up/take-down crew or check in/out table leads.

Parent Expectations:

  • Check in and out so we know you are present, and remain on campus if your child is on campus.
  • Your participation is vital, if you and your children will be absent or late/leaving early, please let a Director know!
  • Be flexible and willing to jump in where needed. Sometimes we will need extra hands somewhere!
  • We ask that you not use your cell phone/device while on duty (unless needed for class purposes), giving full attention and engagement to your assignment.
  • If helping in a classroom, offer the teacher support in keeping students focused, helping with supplies/papers/etc.
  • If monitoring hallways or campus areas, walk the area keeping an eye out for wandering students or anything that seems out of place.
  • Take advantage of off-periods to fellowship with other parents!
