Mrs. Dana Atticks

Mrs. Dana Atticks has been the coordinator for the Lancaster County Healthy Kids Running Series for 6 years and coached Girls on the Run prior to that.  As an avid distance runner, she enjoys connecting with the students in hopes to inspire a healthy lifestyle and an appreciation for the abilities God has blessed our bodies with! 

Mrs. Elisa Battle

Mrs. Elisa Battle has been teaching Gym and Fitness classes to Homeschoolers for 15+ years. She enjoys having fun with the students while instilling the discipline of lifelong physical fitness and regular exercise. Along with her husband and family, she makes physical fitness a priority.

Mr. Jeff Bradley

Jeff Bradley taught in the Hempfield School District for 33 years.   From 1977 until 1995, he taught Pre-Algebra and Algebra at Centerville Middle School before moving to Landisville Middle School.   At Landisville, in addition to teaching, he coached the middle school MathCounts team to a Pennsylvania State title in 1999.    In 1999, when he became Supervisor of Mathematics for HSD, he taught Geometry and Advanced Algebra and supervised the 30+ middle and high school math staff.   After retiring from Hempfield in 2009, Jeff began a teaching stint at Harrisburg Community College and also supervised IU13 math teachers.   In 2017, he began teaching in the Harvest Coop.

In addition to teaching, Jeff was a four-time All-American runner at Millersville University, winner of the Red Rose Run (4 times) and Millersville Turkey Trot (7 times), and a track coach at Hempfield High School for 36 years.   He was the head coach of the 2009 PIAA State Championship team and is currently a cross-country coach at Hempfield High School.  Bicycling is a passion for Jeff who has ridden across America (sagged by his wife Nancy). Both Jeff and Nancy are active in LifeCycles, a Christian mentoring organization that combines bicycling with goal setting to build young men of character. 

Jeff and his wife Nancy, who live in East Hempfield, are members of First United Methodist Church in Lancaster and are active in Sunday School and the Tax Ministry.

Mrs. Ellen Campbell

Ellen Campbell received teaching certificates from the state of New Jersey and the state of Pennsylvania. She is a homeschool evaluator and has taught all ages of students in a wide variety of classrooms and other teaching situations for more than 35 years. She homeschooled her own children for 12 years. Ellen took Writing for Children and Teenagers and Writing Children's Books from The Institute of Children's Literature. She was a member of the San Diego County Christian Writers' Guild and of Lancaster Christian Writers. Ellen has had a few articles published. She really enjoys teaching writing, history, and civics courses.

Mr. Mark Campbell

Mark Campbell has Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Civil Engineering and is registered as a Professional Engineer in the states of Pennsylvania, California, and New Jersey. He has experience teaching students at many age levels and frequently makes presentations to governmental decision-makers regarding planned development projects. He often teaches classes integrating faith and science.

Mrs. Heather Cherasaro

Heather Cherasaro graduated from homeschool in 1998. She graduated from Thomas Edison State University with a Bachelor's in Mathematics in 2020. She and her husband Mike have 6 children (Michael, Mary, Gabe, Ben, Lizzy, and Becca). Heather has been cyber-schooling/homeschooling their children since their oldest started kindergarten in 2007. 
Heather worked as a Community Coordinator for Commonwealth Connections Academy for over 4 years while her children were in cyber school, and has taught elementary school level children at another co-op in Pittston, PA. She started Frontier Girls Troop 187 in 2012 where she organized and sometimes taught badge lessons for 8 years before they moved to Lancaster. She has also volunteered with local BSA Packs and Troops as a den leader, fundraising chair, and treasurer. Along with Mathematics, Heather enjoys history, especially the Regency era, and building things. 
Heather and her family now live in the Lancaster area, where she and her husband own a grocery store, and Heather is also a bookkeeper for a church. They are members of St. Leo's in Lancaster and St. Ann's in Harrisburg. 

Mr. Benaiah Fogle

Benaiah Fogle has a Master of Theology from the Cebu Graduate School of Theology located on the island of Cebu in the Philippines.  Benaiah and his wife Kathtren lived for 10 years there in Kathtren’s hometown, where they helped plant a new church, start a small business and start a homeschool co-op. Benaiah received his B.S. in Biblical Studies from Cairn University and also holds a Certification in TESOL.  Biblical Hebrew is one of his passions which he has been blessed to have started in Israel and continued on to teach.  Benaiah considers himself a teacher and entrepreneur and most recently has been enjoying working in the YouTube world.  He also enjoys adventures with friends and family, fishing, spearfishing, scuba and freediving, rugby, frisbee, and pretty much anything else outdoors. 

Mrs. Susan Geoghan

Mrs. Susan Geoghan is married and has been a homeschooling mom for nearly 20 years to three children.  Two are out of high school and her youngest is a student at Upper Tier.  Mrs. Geoghan graduated from Franklin and Marshall College with a BA in Biology and concentrations in English and Marketing.  She worked for a biomedical research corporation and in sales and marketing in California prior to marriage and family.  She is a proponent of Charlotte Mason's educational philosophy and has a love of natural and life science and living books.  Somewhere in the mix is also a love of vocal, instrumental, worship, and piano music as well as supporting musical theatre.  She has facilitated many home group and several Middle Tier classes of Shakespeare's works and looks forward to unpacking Shakespeare in a core curriculum class at Cornerstone Upper Tier. 

Mr. Kevin Goss

A homeschool dad, art teacher for 20 years, I’ve been an artist all my life. I want to help students understand and reclaim visual art for the glory of God. My teaching is a structured approach of sharing the “magic trick” behind art techniques for students to draw, paint, design, photograph or sculpt like a natural and develop their own voice.

Mrs. Erin Groff

Mrs. Erin Groff is married to Mr. Jeremy Groff who teaches music at Central Dauphin School District.  Together they have three children, ages 16, 15, and almost 9. Mrs. Groff has been a homeschool parent for 11 years.  She graduated from Lancaster Bible College with degrees in Bible and Elementary Education, and she taught third grade for four years prior to having children. The Groff family has been part of Cornerstone for four years.  This is their second year participating in Upper Tier classes. Some things she enjoys are teaching, arts and crafts, nature, and the beach!  Mrs. Groff has also had a long time interest in amature photography and digital scrapbooking, and is excited to apply her knowledge and experience to teaching the yearbook class. 

Mr. Greg Hershberger

Greg Hershberger taught school for 20 years in the states of West Virginia, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. He received a B.A. in Psychology from Malone College in Canton, Ohio. He received his teaching certificate from Oregon College of Education in Monmouth, Oregon. He received a permanent teaching certificate from Pennsylvania with a credential in high school math. He has taught Business Math, Junior High Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry. He has been a principal and guidance counselor and taught computers. He has been a pastor for 30 years. He has been married to his wife Lois for 43 years and has 3 homeschooled adult children and 8 grandchildren.

Mrs. Iris Lehman

Iris Lehman has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Curriculum, and her Reading Specialist Certification.  Along with homeschooling her own three children, she has taught classes in reading, writing, nature study, physical fitness and health/safety.  She has been a homeschool evaluator for fifteen years and enjoys working with homeschool families who wish to discuss curriculum and educational philosophy.  Iris has also been employed at the Hempfield Recreation Center as a tennis coach for the past twenty years and helps coach the boys and girls tennis teams at Hempfield School District.


Mrs. Kim Moore

As a certified teacher in PA, Kim Moore has taught in public schools, private schools, and has been a homeschool mom for the past 6 years. She has a passion for teaching and enjoys teaching and learning about anything and everything. She has been a Cornerstone member since 2019.  Along with her husband, Nate, she has 5 children. She is also a self-employed youth minister with One Voice Youth Ministry and loves teaching kids and teens about Christ and helping them to grow in relationship with Him and eachother!  She treasures time with her family, vacationing at any lake, reading, and cuddling with her dog, Mocha.  

Mr. Sam Mylin

Sam and Kate Mylin are owners of MASTERPIECE Art. They teach art classes throughout Lancaster County and are involved with Christian outreach using art. The Mylins are on staff at the Delaware Art Museum and are members of the Association of Christian Artists and the Lancaster Art Association.

Mr. Adam Newswanger

Adam Newswanger graduated highschool in 2008.  After several years working, he decided to attend the Lancaster School of Massage and graduated in 2014.  Adam is currently employed at Mill Road Cabinetry.  He is excited to share his love for science, woodworking, fencing and Medieval culture teaching at Cornerstone.

Mrs. Kim Paine

Mrs. Kim Paine enjoys speaking Spanish and sharing her love of the language with others.  She has a double degree in Spanish and Linguistics from the Univ. of CA, Santa Barbara.  She has tutored and taught Spanish to homeschoolers for over 20 years.  She highly recommends learning to speak a second (or third!) language to increase the number of people with whom you can share the Good News of Jesus Christ!  She lives in Quarryville with her husband and two daughters, Mari and Kerith.


Mr. Nolen Petrosky

Nolen Petrosky graduated in 2020 and is actively performing in the community with theater groups such as the Fulton Theatre, Servant Stage, Piercing Word, Ephrata Performing Arts Center, Cavod, Hershey Area Playhouse, Popovsky Performing Arts Studio, etc.   He has participated in educational outreach productions with Popovsky Performing Arts and Servant Stage. Nolen has served on production teams as Fight Choreographer, Assistant Director, and Music Director.  Nolen has performed, understudied, and been a swing in multiple roles many times.    

Nolen is an Equity Membership Candidate who served internships with both Ephrata Performing Arts Center and Gretna Theatre. He won the Hershey Apollo Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor for his role in 2019 as Crutchie in Newsies.

In the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic, Nolen attended Discipleship Training School at YWAM North Cascades, culminating in an outreach to South Africa.

Mrs. Pam Powles

Mme Pam Powles loves teaching, and has been teaching French and Spanish for over 35 years, first in a public school setting, and more recently in a home school support group setting. In addition to teaching French at Cornerstone, she currently teaches French and Spanish classes to students online. Pam holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French, and Master of Arts Degrees in French and Spanish. She is certified to teach French and Spanish in grades K-12 in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York State. She has been a homeschool evaluator since 1995, and homeschooled her own three children from Kindergarten through high school. 

Mrs. Anne Flinchbaugh Richey

Anne Flinchbaugh Richey graduated from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science (now Jefferson University) with Honors B.S. degree in Interior Design. She has worked at architecture and interior design firms prior to deciding to homeschool her 3 children. Since 2012, Anne has enjoyed teaching at homeschool co-ops, designing and painting theatrical sets for homeschool productions and running a container gardening business. She attends Central Manor Church of God, likes to travel with her family, and collects cats and chickens.

Mrs. Shallon Rohrer

Shallon Rohrer has been interested in the German language ever since high school.  The year after high school she was a Rotary Club exchange student in Germany.  Shallon attended Millersville University with a German major and a double minor in History and English Linguistics.  She studied abroad when she was a junior, spending another year in Germany.  After graduating from MU with a BA in German, she briefly worked in tourism before becoming a full-time mom and homemaker.  Shallon is currently a homeschooling mom of 5.

Mr. Travis Schmalhofer

Travis is currently a small business owner in Lancaster County. He served for over eight years as a deputy sheriff and sergeant before starting his business. Travis holds an undergraduate degree from Lancaster Bible College, where he began his study of biblical Greek. He has also served as an adjunct professor at LBC in the Criminal Justice program. Travis earned a MA in exegetical theology from Covenant Theological Seminary, where his studies included biblical Hebrew and Greek. He enjoys farming on his homestead, reading, studying theology, and doing pretty much anything with his wife and three daughters. 

Mrs. Catherine Sharp

Catherine Sharp has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Before homeschooling she worked in Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing construction as an estimator and cost control administrator for commercial public bid work. When her second daughter arrived, she chose to become a stay-at-home mother. Working with her children over the last 19 years has been its own great reward. Cathy appreciates wonderful music, spending precious moments with loved ones, and getting away to the mountains.

Mr. Brian Smith

Mr. Smith has a B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering and works full time in the nuclear energy profession. He also enjoys photography and helps out with the Cornerstone yearbook portraits. However, his greatest love and passion, other than his wife Anne and four kids, is the Bible. He has studied the entirety of the scriptures for twenty-five years with an emphasis on helping and discipling others to gain a deeper relationship with Jesus through a personal devotion and study of the Scriptures. Mr. Smith loves to weave his engineering background with his comprehensive knowledge of the entirety of the Word of God to help students better understand important biblical themes and have a greater biblical literacy in an increasingly biblically illiterate culture.

Mrs. Jaclyn Umholtz

Jaclyn Umholtz holds a Music Education degree from Lebanon Valley College.  She taught music for 3 and 1/2 years (in a Christian school as well as a public school district) until her oldest child was born in 2005.  She has taught piano, flute, and voice lessons in her home while being a stay-at-home mother and wife.  She began homeschooling her five children in 2009.  In 2011 Jaclyn and her family joined Cornerstone Homeschoolers, and she has taught at least one choir class ever since.  Her love for Jesus, music, and children have landed her roles with Sunday school, children's ministry, Bible study, and most recently worship leader in the churches she has attended.

Jaclyn married the love of her life, Joel, in 2002 and just recently said good-bye to him in April 2021 when he went Home to worship Jesus face to face.  She and her family love to spend time together camping, telling stories, or just sitting around the table.

She is excited to bring her love of Jesus and music to the Cornerstone Homeschoolers Upper Tier Family.


Mrs. Sheri Worrell

Sheri Worrell has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and taught for over six years before having children. She also taught for nine years at Classical Conversations which included Foundations, Essentials, and Challenge A.  Sheri and her husband Matt have two children, Ben and Natalie, and have been homeschooling since 2012. They joined Cornerstone in 2022. The Worrells attend and serve at Wesley Church in Quarryville. Sheri enjoys music, reading, teaching, learning alongside her children, and supporting her kids in their extracurricular activities.

Mr. Cliff Zeller

Cliff Zeller holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s in Bible with a proficiency in Greek from Bob Jones University. He lives on a small farm in Berks County, where he keeps a herd of fainting goats as well as numerous other critters. This will be his ninth year teaching science and math courses at Cornerstone.
