Art Club: Every other Friday 9:00-11:00am
The heart of this club is to encourage young artists to explore their creativity and foster lasting friendships within a faith-filled community. Art has the power to touch hearts, bring joy, and spread hope. Projects planned include canvas painting, mosaic tile art, paper mache, jewelry making, and much more.
Art Club will meet twice a month on Fridays 9-11am for a total of 16 dates over the academic year.
There is a $10 per semester Program Fee and a $60 supply fee per semester.

Mock Trial: Fridays 10:00am-12:00pm
Students will explore a variety of court cases and have the opportunity to experience multiple roles such as the judge, corresponding attorney, defendant, plaintiff, court clerk, bailiff, jury member, witnesses, etc. as they physically deliberate these cases. Students will learn what goes on in the courtroom, legal concepts, civics, public speaking, social skills, logic & critical thinking.
Program Objectives:
Students will learn and develop an understanding of the trial process.
Students will use case materials (case documents, evidence, affidavits, etc.) to develop case arguments for both the defendant and plaintiff sides.
Students will develop effective oral communication skills to clearly and coherently present opening statements, direct and cross examinations, and closing arguments.
Students will develop proficiency in the analysis and presentation of evidentiary arguments.
Mock Trial will meet every Friday, 10am-12pm.

Fall 2025 Principles of Marketing: Fridays 12:45-2:15pm
This course will be held on the Nelson University campus, but it is only open to ECCHO students.
Study of marketing function of the firm and the impact of consumer buying behavior. This course examines the variables of the marketing mix: product planning, pricing, physical distribution, channels of distribution, advertising, personal selling, and sales promotion. Investigates the economic, social, ethical, and political influences on the marketing environment.
Note: This class will be eligible for Early College Credit through Nelson University. Students who choose this option (not required) will have an extra class fee paid directly to Nelson ($100/credit hour - total of $300, significant savings for the full cost of the course!). The course will be taught by the same university professor who teaches the college course. Once enrolled in the ECCHO class, you will receive the directions on enrolling for ECC if desired.
Principles of Marketing will meet every Friday, 12:45-2:15 pm, beginning 8/29 and ending 12/05, at Nelson University. The classroom location will be shared with those enrolled in August.
There is a $20 supply fee for all and a $40 monthly class fee for those not electing the ECC option, and a $20 monthly fee for those enrolled in the ECC option (September through December). *As noted above, fees for Early College Credit apply if participating in the dual credit program.

Spring 2026 Principles of Management: Fridays 12:30-2:00pm
This course will be held on the Nelson University campus, but is only open to ECCHO students.
This is a Nelson Early College Credit Course - Students must also register for the ECC course through Nelson ($100/credit hour - 3 credits) and will receive 3 credits on their Nelson transcript upon completion of the course. Instructions to register for the Nelson side will be provided upon ECCHO enrollment.
Monthly Class Fee: $20 paid to instructor

Textbook: Information for purchasing the textbook will be provided upon enrollment. Expect a text fee of approximately $79

Class Description: This course introduces students to the foundations of leadership and management from both historical and modern perspectives. Topics include planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and evaluating progress within organizations. Students will explore decision-making styles and how leaders respond to various situations, as well as learn how to give and receive feedback effectively. Throughout the course, students will engage in group activities and discussions to develop interpersonal and leadership skills. Biblical principles such as stewardship, servant leadership, integrity, and wisdom will be woven into the curriculum, helping students understand how faith can guide ethical and effective leadership. Scripture will be used to illustrate how godly leadership can impact teams, communities, and organizations. Course is taught by a Nelson University professor who is also an ECCHO member/Homeschool mom.
