Students will learn the basics of 3D printing by printing fun and useful objects. By the end of the course, students will be able to describe the process of 3D printing, know examples of its use in the world, make intelligent choices about materials, software, and printer options, and design simple objects (either for function or fantasy).
NO 3D PRINTER NECESSARY. Students will be able to submit an object each week to print for the next week. If students have a 3D printer, we will learn to use it, but it will not be necessary for the class.
$50.00 supplies fee covers 3D printing filaments and resins
Students need to spend at least 1 hour a week designing on a computer or tablet.
