Planet Homeschool Refund Policy
Co-op membership fees are nonrefundable:
If you request to cancel your family’s membership before those dates, your membership fee minus a $5 processing fee will be refunded within 3 business days.
If you request to cancel your family’s membership after our co-op or the course instructors have cancelled all courses in which your child(ren) were enrolled, then your family’s entire membership fee will be refunded, with no processing fee withheld, regardless of date.
Tuition and Supplies
Instructors will refund all tuition and supplies fees for class registrations canceled before a class’s Minimum Student Date (the date on which a class will be canceled if the minimum number of students has not yet registered). However, because it costs your instructors to issue refunds, families should not pay for a class before its Minimum Student Date (that is, before the invoice’s Payment Due Date), so there should be no need to issue such refunds. (This wasn’t really a problem before COVID-19. PayPal started keeping its fees for refunds on October 11, 2019, and our co-op had far fewer cancellations due to low enrollment before COVID-19.)
After the class’s Minimum Student Date, instructors set their own policies for cancellations that do not drop the class below its minimum number of students.
