ECCHO & Creekside Church present the 2026 Ellis County Homeschool Civics Fair!  This FREE event is open to ALL area homeschoolers.  Please sign up so we know you're coming, and feel free to invite friends from outside of ECCHO!

This event is geared toward homeschool students in grades 6-12 and their families, but all ages are welcome!  Come hear directly from Ellis County elected officials from the city, county, and state levels of government.  This is an engaging way for students to learn more about the structure and function of local government.

Thursday, February 5 from 1-3 PM at Creekside Church in Midlothian.

From the state level we will hear from State Representative Brian Harrison live and from State Senator Bob Hall via video.

From the county level we will hear from Precinct 3 County Commissioner Louis Ponder, Sheriff Brad Norman, and Judge Grace Pandithurai of the 443rd District Court.

From the city level we will hear from Waxahachie Mayor Billie Wallace.

DV Lebron from the Ellis Talker Show will also be joining us to discuss civil discourse and how to be an informed citizen and voter.

Jennifer Zarate, candidate for Ellis County District Clerk, has volunteered to emcee the event.

This is a FREE event.  Please sign up on the ECCHO website calendar if you plan to attend so we know how many to expect.

Hope to see you there!
